Based on 189 reviewsChicago's Chicken Shack Broadview is widely praised for its freshly fried chicken offerings, characterized by a crispy exterior and juicy interior. Customers appreciate the variety of options, including breaded and non-breaded chicken, as well as flavorful sides like coleslaw, fries, and unique additions such as pickles and okra. The drink selection, particularly the nostalgic Kool-Aid flavors, adds to the authentic experience. While wings and smaller portions dominate the menu rather than traditional full-piece chicken, many enjoy the distinct seasoning, though a few note occasional inconsistency in flavor intensity. Desserts like churros also receive positive feedback. Overall, the restaurant is recognized for its satisfying comfort food atmosphere and quality fried dishes.
The chicken, shrimp, fish, were fried to perfection, and seasoned perfectly! The Kool-aid was perfect, just like old times (I got red ). The coleslaw was delicious and the sauces complemented the meal perfectly! I really enjoyed this meal. Bring this to Youngstown Ohio please!!
**Chicago Chicken Shack - Broadview, IL** If you're looking for the freshest fried chicken in Broadview, look no further than Chicago Chicken Shack. The moment you bite into their chicken, you'll be greeted with a crispy exterior and steaming hot, juicy meat inside. It's a true delight! But that's not all. The churros are an absolute must-try. Perfectly fried, sweet, and delicious, they make for an amazing treat. And let's not forget about the fried shrimp and fish. Both are cooked to perfection, with a crunchy coating and tender, flavorful seafood inside. Whether you're in the mood for chicken, shrimp, or fish, Chicago Chicken Shack has you covered. Highly recommended for a delicious and satisfying meal!
See, I knew when I walked in and saw that the only drinks they served were bottled water and cool-aid. This has to be good, and I was right. I had the sample plate wings, perch, shrimp, pickles, orka, coleslaw, fries, and a slice of white bread. Yep, I should have known 3 different cool-aids. Yes, the cook throw down for me. I've tasted them all using the fries to cleanse my palette. Yep, it's good. No one dish overpower the other. I only peeked at the dessert enough to know where I going for my next cheat treat.
What i love about this place option to have chicken without breading. And was great i love it. Compliments to the chef and his staff ill be back for more. I caught the lunch special with the kool-aid drink. Good stuff.
Decided to finally give this Chicken Shack a try. It's mainly wings and sides, so if you're expecting full/half chicken or thighs and breast you may want to look elsewhere. Now if you're looking for some chicken wings on steroids (not really they just look like they are) then this is the spot. They have a couple of flavors to choose from. I tried the lemon pepper which was a little under seasoned, but that's because I'm used to them being a little over seasoned. Fried okra and fries for sides along with shrimp and catfish as separate entrees. All orders are served with a side of coleslaw and a slice of bread, but the only give you one slice so if you need more don't forget to ask. Sauce is added to the chicken during preparation. If you're not into mild or hot sauce then I recommend letting them know when placing your order. All in all it was a good experience. Enjoy!
What an AWESOME experience! As a first-timer, I called first to find out if we could dine in. Mahogany answered the phone. Excellent cust svc. She was so nice that I decided to go there that day. She helped us order. 10 succulent wings were cooked fresh to order and was crazy delicious. Loved the fries. Didn't need ketchup. Then she suggested their homemade sweet potato pie. I reluctantly accepted her mini sampler because I ONLY like mine, until I tried theirs. Scrumptious! Also the owner took time to chat with us, super nice. Oh and the place was CLEAN. Even the bathrooms were super clean. I felt very comfortable eating there. Then I learned that they also have homemade peach cobbler, just not that day. I can't wait to go back next week to try it. Affordable prices. Between the fantastic food & friendly staff, they have garnered a new customer. I highly recommend this place.
I’ve seen this place for awhile and one day decided to try them. This was the best decision I’ve made when it comes to chicken and has become one of my favorites. Nothing less than great. I come here at least once a week to eat. The staff here have the best hospitality and cater to whatever you need whether you’re dining in or getting them to go. The food is fresh, the music is good and the prices are unbeatable. If you’re in the area and want home felt service and great food I highly recommend trying Chicago’s Chicken Shack. -Kwality
